Dr. Smriti is an avid believer of holistic mental well-being. From here stems her approach of healing the mind, body and spirit so that one may attain overall wellness rather than just symptom relief. She delves deep into various psychological, physical, social, emotional and spiritual factors that affect one’s health; and incorporates different strategies in order to heal the person and not just treat the disease. Her hallmark is a non-judgemental, empathetic and collaborative approach which challenges traditional patriarchal attitudes in medical practice. She works toward empowering her patients to take control of their health.

Dr. Smriti belongs to the beautiful city of Chandigarh. After completing MBBS from the reputed Government Medical College & Hospital, Chandigarh, she began postgraduate training there in Psychiatry. She completed her MD with flying colours and went on to do 3 years of senior residency thereafter. This long training stint in one of the most premier institutions of the country gave her the wealth of immense experience. She is skilled in managing all kinds of mental disorders and difficulties; and has worked extensively in the fields of general adult psychiatry, child and adolescent mental health, addiction disorders, geriatric mental health, and marital and sexual wellness. She is adept in providing counselling and psychotherapy and believes it to be an important aspect of treatment.
